During IDFA 2017, Sebastian Mulder was invited to portray director Morgan Knibbe for the series ‘De Bewonderaars’, in which talented young documentary directors are asked to meet and interview a filmmaker they admire. In his portrayal, Sebastian Mulder discusses with Knibbe his celebrated documentary Those Who Feel the Fire Burning, the difference between documentary and fiction and their shared love for experimenting; interspersed with filmic experiments of Mulder’s own, inspired by Knibbe’s principles.
